1Scope

These Terms apply to all use of Deadline Pace (the “App”) and govern the relationship between the person or entity operating the App (the “Operator”) and each user.

Notices and instructions shown in the App or on this support website form part of these Terms. If a specific notice conflicts with these Terms, the specific notice controls.

2What the App provides

The App helps users plan work toward a deadline using information such as the due date, workload, available days, and daily limit. It also provides progress tracking, plan adjustment, a focus timer, and local notifications.

• Plans are reference information based on the conditions entered by the user.
• The App does not guarantee completion of a deadline, academic performance, examination results, or professional outcomes.
• The App does not provide medical, legal, accounting, or other professional advice.

3Your responsibilities

You are responsible for providing a compatible device, operating system, network connection, and Apple Account. You must review your entries, plans, notification settings, and actual deadlines yourself.

The App does not require an account and stores core planning data on your device. You are responsible for making device backups where appropriate, including before device loss, replacement, erasure, or deletion of the App.

4Free version and Plus

The App includes free features and additional features available through the auto-renewable Deadline Pace Plus subscription.

If you have three or more active deadlines while using the free version, deadlines you do not select are not deleted. They remain stored on your device but are excluded from some actions and notifications until selected or unlocked with Plus.

5Purchases, renewal, and cancellation

1. Plus payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. RevenueCat is used to manage and verify subscription status. The price, currency, trial, and promotional terms displayed on the purchase screen control.
2. Your Apple Account is charged when the purchase is confirmed.
3. Plus renews automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled.
4. Manage or cancel the subscription through Settings > your name > Subscriptions. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
5. After cancellation, Plus generally remains available until the end of the paid period.
6. Refunds are handled under Apple’s rules and applicable law. The Operator cannot issue App Store refunds directly.
7. If a purchase is not recognized, use Restore Purchases in the App. RevenueCat is used to restore and verify the entitlement.

6Prohibited conduct

You must not:

• violate applicable law, public policy, or another person’s rights;
• interfere with the operation of the App or place an excessive load on it;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• probe for vulnerabilities, gain unauthorized access, or circumvent security features;
• sell, redistribute, lease, or commercially exploit the App or its content without permission; or
• engage in other conduct the Operator reasonably considers harmful or inappropriate.

7Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in the App, support website, logos, text, interface designs, and software belong to the Operator or the relevant rights holder. These Terms grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive right to use the App; they do not transfer any intellectual property rights.

8Changes, interruptions, and discontinuation

The Operator may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the App when reasonably necessary for maintenance, incident response, legal compliance, or service improvement. Where practical, material changes or discontinuation will be announced in advance through the App or this website.

9Disclaimer of warranties

To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided without warranties of accuracy, completeness, usefulness, fitness for a particular purpose, continuous availability, compatibility with every device, or freedom from errors or data loss. This clause does not limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10Limitation of liability

Except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence, the Operator is not liable for losses arising from use or inability to use the App. Where the Operator is liable, liability is limited to ordinary, direct damages and the total amount paid by the user for the App during the preceding 12 months. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by consumer protection law or other applicable law.

11Changes to these Terms

The Operator may update these Terms when reasonably necessary because of changes to law, App features, or service operation. Material changes will be announced with their effective date in the App or on this website with reasonable advance notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, the Japanese court with jurisdiction over the Operator’s principal place of business has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
